I purchased Shirley on October 12, 2003. She was born sometime in July, 2003. These photos were taken in October of 2004. Click here to see earlier pictures. |

Shirley is an amelanistic motley corn snake. Motley refers to the irregularities in her pattern; for instance she has a little stripe where her neck is and several patches further down that vary from the rest of her regular "saddle" patches. |

Shirley was named after a Peanuts character, like her husband Shermy and her brother Woodstock. I admit that it's a little-known, cameo character (one of three small girls for whom Peppermint Patty was camp counselor circa 1969). I chose the name because it went well with "Shermy." |
